Programs

The Marcus Graham Project has developed a system of programs that will engage members and the business community in a dynamic way.  One of the key goals of the programs is to develop a sustainable infrastructure for mentorship and dialogue.  One of the key challenges that board member Bill Sharp highlighted in the creation of the Basic Advertising Course in the 1960s, the advertising industry’s first sponsored training program for African Americans, was the lack of mentorship following the training.   Sharp suggests that it is tantamount to build a strong network of mentors, both inside the place of work as well as outside.  This mentorship should be informal and not be bound by gender, age or race.  Our programs seek to bridge the gap amongst generations of professionals.
