Friday, March 11 – #FF Follow Friday Kickoff Party

The weekend will start with a series of After Work Tweet-ups held around the nation on Friday kicking off The Marcus Graham Project (MGP) in various locations throughout the U.S.  The networking events will serve as the official kick off for The Boomerang Effect II held during SERVE 60™ Weekend (Daylight Saving Time Weekend).  The goal of this event is to raise awareness and resources for The Marcus Graham Project & SERVE 60 as well as provide a relaxed social environment for advertising and marketing professionals to socialize and network.  We will see which city will represent the best!   Events have been confirmed for the following markets:

  • San Francisco/Oakland

  • Dallas
  • Washington D.C.
  • Cincinnati

Saturday, March 12 – #SS / Serve Saturday

After the conclusion of the events on Friday, The Boomerang Effect kicks into high gear. People from all around the world will recognize the importance of service and volunteerism, by volunteering at least sixty (60) minutes of their time in their community towards the creation of a global campaign.  This Service Saturday #SS activity will galvanize a generation to compete for a chance to win a $1500 scholarship for their favorite youth organization, charity or school.  For more details on how you can get involved, click the assignment tab or download the information, here.

Sunday, March 13 – #BeTheBoom

The final hours of the weekend will be spent with a live-streamed Tweet-a-thon focused on raising awareness around the organizations that teams have created videos for, as well as special announcements from The Marcus Graham Project, including the announcement of our 2011 Summer Boot Camp Team.

Tweet, email, Facebook and call your friends around the world and tell them to visit The Boomerang Effect website to vote for their favorite video, donate to The Marcus Graham Project, and tune in to a generation “moving forward.”
